Utilities


The Harper County Economic Development Council (HCEDC) recognizes that reliable and affordable utility services are essential for industries, in quantities that meet future demand. HCEDC can provide up-to-date rate structures and estimated billings for industries, based on projected usage, upon request.

WATER is provided by the cities of Anthony, Attica, Harper, and by five rural water districts across Harper County. Ample water supplies, of good quality, exist in the county to meet major industrial needs. The supplies are not treated, but are chlorinated. Rates are available upon request, and rate incentives may be available for large-volume industrial users.

Average daily uses and capacities are:

ELECTRIC SERVICE is provided by the City of Anthony in that city, with its own gas-fired generation plant. Rates are available upon request, and reduced rates may be available for large-volume industrial users.

The City of Attica provides its electric service. Rates are available upon request, as are estimated billings based upon usage.

The City of Harper is served by Wheatland Electric. Rates are available upon request, and estimated billings, based upon projected usage, may be developed upon request.


NATURAL GAS service in the city of Anthony is provided by Atmos Energy. HCEDC can provide current rates upon request.

SANITARY SEWER service is provided by the cities of Harper, Anthony and Attica. All three are lagoon systems with significant excess capacity.
